Bright-white bluff towering a snow-field. The colour of the landscape is reduced to white.

Geological relevance of location
Very pure marble of the Pioneers Group, the metamorphic equivalent of shallow marine carbonates.

Colour bright white
Age Probably 400 - 600 million years old (metamorphic age). The age of the deposition of the calcareous ooze is much higher. The former ooze was turned into marble by diagenetic and metamorphic processes.
