The book is the archetype of cultural activity is understood as such
throughout the world. This reference is kept by using transparent
perspex in book form to present the earths. Structure and color remain
visible. The layering of sediments allow to reconstruct the history
layer by layer like page by page in a book. The essence of the
corresponding time - from the climate to cultural artifacts of life - is
contained in the layers as well as personal memories. This principle,
laid out in my work "Erdbibliothek 83" ("Earth Library 83"), is extended
in the One-Earth-Altar.
