Geological relevance of location
Location of garnet crystals of up to 10 cm in diameter in garnet amphibolite. The garnet is a PyrAlSpite (solid solution series of almandine, pyrope and spessartine) and is partially collected from river gravel. Transparent stones are cut for jewellery.
