Geological relevance of location
This sample stems from the dune sea around Sossusvlei, which is one of the main attractions for Namibia visitors in the middle Namib desert. The red dunes with heights up to 300 m count to the highest on earth. This type of star shaped dunes is formed by wind blowing from changing directions.
