Earth - Fàtima \"The house of God is layes on the ground Its foundation dive into the earth.\" The words of Sophia de Mello Breyner (is considered one of the best contemporary Portuguese poets) lead us to take this piece of earth, earth-together- with-other-earths, and bring it to a common altar. This is earth from Fàtima. We recall that it bears the name of a woman, daughter of Mahomet. To prove that in Portugal Jews, Muslims and Christians once knew times of culture and brotherhood. But also times of violence and exclusion. In the meanwhile, Fàtima has become the land of another woman: Mary of Nazareth, mother of Jesus. Our Mother. We trust You with this earth - our earth, land of our fragility - so that it becomes Your land too. Land of promise, land of freedom. May fruits of peace and justice grow in this earth. Peace and justice for all.
